I teach guitar to all levels and genres of music. Subjects include learning songs, improvisation, ear training, theory, technique, composition, and beat-making. I am a professional jazz guitarist and

I first found out about Andre from a friend of mine who, like me, has some guitar experience but is far from a professional musician. I've seen her understanding of the guitar and music, as well as her technique, improve like crazy since she started studying with Andre, and now I can see why. Andre is one of the most patient, articulate, genuinely helpful teachers I've had in any curriculum. He's really changed the way I think about the instrument and how I listen to music and I feel closer than ever to being the musician I've always wanted to be. I highly recommend Andre for any age and experience level.

Awesome guitar teacher! Super talented player, knowledgeable about all styles and knows the roots of the music well. Definitely recommend Andre!

Andre has been giving me guitar lessons for almost a year now and I couldn’t be happier. I previously had a different guitar teacher but I stopped with him because we just kept learning how to play different rock and pop songs without really covering how music actually works as a whole. Andre is a whole different story. He’s taught me much more than just how to copy some guitar solo. He’s shown me the fundamental principles of chords, melodies, and songwriting and he’s helped me unlock the guitar as a way to create music of my own. He is a super passionate and articulate teacher and helps me to understand music in a way other teachers and the internet never could. Plus, he’s an amazing guitar player :)
I highly recommend Andre to anyone of any age and experience level.

I met Andre while in college, and for me, Andre was essential in helping me figure out the basics. I had very little guitar experience though I knew some things about harmony, and he helped me make sure me hands were in the right place, I wasn't using too much tension, and that I understood the history of the guitar from the perspective of rock and blues. Five stars, can't recommend highly enough!

Andre has been a great guitar instructor for me. I had a lot of fear of playing the wrong notes and he is continually helping me overcome this. He has also helped double my repertoire on guitar. He is a patient teacher and is super funny
