About Anna
I am a molecular biologist and experienced IB teacher currently working in an IB school with students from around the world, teaching across both the MYP and DP. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Systems & Societies, and have extensive experience supporting students with Internal Assessments and Extended Essays.
I have completed IB Category 2 professional development courses and have a thorough understanding of the IB framework and its assessment requirements. Working with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds has taught me to adapt my approach to different learning styles, needs and goals.
I am passionate about science and genuinely enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with my students. I hope to inspire your curiosity and help you see science not just as a subject to study, but as a way of understanding and exploring the world around us :)

With 6 years of experience teaching in an IB school, I have developed a strong understanding not only of the subject content, but also of the expectations, assessment approach and skills students need to succeed in the IB.
Lessons are highly personalised and focused on helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorise them. I adapt each session to the student's level, learning style and individual goals, using clear explanations, real-life examples, active questioning and exam-style questions to build both knowledge and confidence. For exam preparation, we focus on applying knowledge to unfamiliar situations and developing effective exam technique.
For students working on an Internal Assessment or Extended Essay, I provide guidance on scientific reasoning, research design, data analysis and academic writing, while encouraging students to develop their own ideas and work independently.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with longer sessions available when useful.

Anna is an excellent teacher who makes difficult topics much easier to understand. She is patient, approachable and always takes the time to explain things in different ways when needed. I especially appreciated how she helped me prepare for my IB assessments. Her passion for science is contagious, and I always felt more confident after our lessons. Thanks Anna!
