About Russel
I have taught PE for over 20 years and help the majority of my students to achieve A or B passes in National and Higher PE. I verify written work and practical performance work for schools locally and nationally and lead training sessions to support other PE staff in both National and Higher PE. Due to my expertise in Outdoor Education, I am frequently asked to assess practical performance in many different outdoor activities. I specialise in Climbing and Mountain-biking, but also assess Kayaking and other outdoor activities for schools locally and nationally. I have been a National Squad coach for Basketball in Scotland, and also have experience of teaching PE in Canada.

Russel comes with a wealth of health and fitness wellbeing knowledge, from a background of physical education teaching, basketball coaching and qualifications in outdoor education. Add to this, he is dedicated, friendly and supportive.
I’ve known Russel for many years. He is hard working, trustworthy and extremely dedicated to his sport. He is an outstanding coach who will inspire students to achieve success.
I've known Russel for 30 years. I've done several activities with him including cycling, football, running, basketball and hill walking. Sport is a huge part of his life and probably why he became a PE teacher. Not only does he have great knowledge, he's very patient too. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
I have known Russel as an instructor/coach/teacher and friend for 25 years. By treating each tutee as a unique individual Russel will help that person learn in a way that is best for them. Russel is passionate about what he does and I have no reservations in recommending him at the highest level.
