I prioritise incorporating the student’s contributions and perceptions with tailored advice, criticism and knowledge; I find adjusting sessions to each student’s existing knowledge and specific requirements most effective in achieving a desired outcome. My lessons are usually an hour, although I am happy to be flexible! I have tutored numerous students in English Language and Literature at various levels, ranging from primary school to university admissions. I achieved an A* for A-Level English Literature and 9s (A**) in English Literature and English Language. I am happy to work within or without a curriculum/exam-board and with students of any age.

Perfect! Highly recommend Alice! She’s a fantastic teacher, explains everything clearly, and my son is really enjoying the lessons.
Perfect! Alice has an extensive knowledge about the subject I was interested in. I really got amazing insight and benefits from her lesson. I wish her best of everything in her life.
Perfect! Alice is an extremely knowledgeable, reliable and encouraging tutor who has been helping me through my English literature A-level, as well as my Oxbridge UCAS application on the horizon. She never fails to go above and beyond in our lessons, whether it be by helping me sharpen my analytical skills, considering different literary perspectives or providing detailed feedback on my written work. Her clear enthusiasm and love for her subject make our lessons enjoyable, comfortable and extremely fruitful! I highly recommend Alice to anyone looking to have a source of constant support throughout their studies:)
- Isabella is a highly enthused, knowledgeable and passionate student and is a gift to teach! We are working on the tricky but rewarding works of beginner literary theory, how to incorporate them into close reading but also how to approach and critique them individually.Alice's response :
