I specialize in math, reading, writing, and general elementary subjects, and I’m passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence and skill. My approach is warm, encouraging, and academically rigorous. I tailor each session to the child’s learning style, strengths, and goals, ensuring that every lesson is both effective and enjoyable. I use research-based strategies and engaging activities to help students build a deep understanding of the material. Here’s what a typical session looks like: A friendly check-in and short review A focused lesson using visual, hands-on, or real-world examples Guided practice with targeted feedback A positive wrap-up and plan for continued progress What sets me apart is my training in culturally responsive teaching and my genuine belief in every student’s ability to succeed. Hi! I’m a junior Elementary Education major, COE Scholar, and Teaching Fellow at ECU with hands-on classroom experience and a passion for student success. I offer tutoring for K-6 students in math, literacy, reading comprehension, and writing, and I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every learner.

My tutoring style is student-centered and culturally responsive—I believe students learn best when their identities, cultures, and strengths are acknowledged and celebrated. I use interactive, visual, and hands-on methods to keep lessons engaging and meaningful.

A typical session starts with a quick warm-up or review, followed by a mini-lesson targeting a specific skill or concept, and then guided practice using games, manipulatives, or real-world applications. I always wrap up with reflection and goal-setting to keep students motivated and confident.

What sets me apart is my training in inclusive, equity-focused teaching strategies and my genuine commitment to building positive, supportive relationships with every student. Whether your child needs help mastering multiplication, improving reading fluency, or building confidence in class, I’m here to help!

Let’s make learning fun, effective, and empowering—one lesson at a time!
