About Evan
With 5 years working as a teacher I understand that students grasp concepts differently. No matter how you feel about math or your ability in it, I make sure to provide a friendly and effective environment where we can strengthen your fundamentals and overall understanding.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, and have taken upper level university math in areas such as Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, and Mathematical Logic. Through these classes I have seen math as a truly beautiful lens towards the work, and I hope to inspire you to see the same.

My lessons put Math into a low pressure, approachable environment where students focus one key point at a time.
For every concept, I look to walk through distinct examples that focus on making the concept clear rather than regurgitating a textbook definition. Math is a subject that builds upon itself, so having a strong mental model of the fundamentals will go far in progressing through the subject as a whole.
These lessons are perfect for high school (grades 8-12) students, ready to match whatever your particular school's curriculum has in store: from the basics of trigonometry to full on Calculus.
