About Matthew
Hi! I’m Matthew, a Computer Engineering student at Mahidol University International College (MUIC), and I’m passionate about Mathematics and problem-solving.
I have a strong background in international education and have personally taken the IGCSE, SAT, and GED. I achieved an A in IGCSE Mathematics, 690 in SAT Math, and 189 in GED Mathematics.
As a tutor, I believe that Mathematics becomes much easier when you understand the ideas behind the formulas instead of simply memorizing them. I explain concepts step by step, use practical examples, and encourage students to think through problems independently.
My lessons are 100% in English and can be adapted to each student’s level and goals. Whether you’re preparing for IGCSE, SAT Math, GED, or simply want to become more confident in Mathematics, I’ll work with you to identify areas for improvement and build your skills step by step.
I’m friendly, patient, and happy to explain a concept in different ways until it makes sense. My goal is not just to help you get the right answer, but to help you understand why it is the right answer.

Explain mathematical concepts clearly and step by step. For my lesson plan I would start with a warm up, review homework and ask the student if they find anything difficult. Then I would tell the student to answer questions from the previous lesson. Then I would start up with a new concept and guide the student. After teaching I would make the student work on a few questions on their own. Then we would review and discuss the questions. Lastly, I would give them homework to work on until the next lesson. I have a friendly and approachable teaching style. I only have English-only instruction. I typically teach students who are preparing for their Math GED, IGCSE and SAT. However, I do teach students math from grade 6-9.
