About Delaney
I have studied at top-tier universities and have a broad base knowledge in both hard science and humanities. My continual pursuit of knowledge pushed me to pursue my Master's degree in dietetics in order to guide people to a healthier lifestyle with evidence-based information. This same passion for helping others and sharing knowledge has kept me working as a tutor for a variety of subjects and age levels over the past ten years. I also love to cook and hike with my dog, and I know that a well-balanced life includes more than just studying! I love helping my students better understand their coursework while also building their confidence and self-efficacy. I think that when it comes to taking tests and retaining knowledge, genuine passion and understanding are key!
My lessons often start with a brief review of previous material and I answer any pressing questions for about ten minutes. We then will jump into the next lesson or new material, review practice questions if applicable, and end with a summary.
I love to collaborate with my students and implore the motivational interviewing and counseling knowledge I use in my coaching practice for both wellness efforts and tutoring in order to help my students believe in themselves.
