About Suphawat

I am a TEFL certified English tutor with a bachelor of arts in International Studies and a minor in German studies. I graduated from Shippensburg University of PA in May 2020 with a GPA of 3.9 and honors including Summa Cum Laude and Dean's list from 2017-2020. I have a passion for languages and love teaching foreign languages. After studying abroad in Germany, I became a German tutor at my university and wanted to continue teaching languages, so I began volunteering as an ESL tutor for the Franklin County Literacy Council, a non-profit organization focused on adult education. I tutor adult English learners online and like to use the communicative language learning approach to engage my students. I am highly skilled with video conferencing tools such as Skype and Zoom.

About the lesson

I teach English using the communicative language learning approach. I believe students learn best when engaging with the language by speaking in a natural and controlled setting. I like to incorporate realia and realistic role-play activities when teaching a language so that students get to apply what they've learned to their everyday lives. With many classroom tools at my disposal including a green screen, I have created a fun and engaging virtual classroom for students.
