About Phylicia

Hello! I'm Phylicia, and I'm thrilled to embark on this educational journey with you. With a passion for language and a dedication to teaching, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous students on their path to mastering English as a Second Language (ESL).
I bring over 6 years of experience as an ESL instructor, which includes teaching in diverse settings, from virtual lessons to high school classrooms and college-level courses. Additionally, I hold relevant certifications in TEFL, Learning and Development, Communication Foundations, and a Master of Arts in Teaching, ensuring that my teaching methods are up-to-date and effective.

My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that learning a new language should be an enjoyable and enriching experience. My approach is student-centred, meaning that I tailor my lessons to your unique goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you're starting from scratch or aiming to refine your language skills, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

2. Personalized learning curriculum- I understand that each student is unique, with different goals and learning styles. Your learning experience will be customized to meet your specific needs.
3. Real-Life Application
Learning English is not just about the classroom; it's about using it in real-life situations. My focus is on practical language skills that you can apply to your daily life.

In the words of Benjamin Franklin " Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn"
