About Tashmika

Welcome! Meet Teacher Tash
Hello and welcome! My name is Tash, and I am a passionate, TEFL-certified ESL teacher dedicated to helping students of all levels build real-world confidence and fluency in English.

Choosing the right tutor is an important step in your language journey, and my goal is to provide you with a high-quality, professional, and personalised learning experience from day one.

Why Learn With Me?
Certified Credibility: I hold a 168-hour Level 5 TEFL Certification from The TEFL Academy. My training equips me with up-to-date methodologies in lesson planning, grammar instruction, error correction, and language acquisition techniques.

Student-Centred & Adaptive: I strongly believe that no two learners are the same. Every student has a unique learning pace and style. I adapt my teaching methods, tone, and visual tools to match what works best for you, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

Interactive & Engaging Lessons: My digital classroom is active, structured, and fun! We focus on high student speaking time using dynamic slides, visual timelines, and interactive activities—making abstract language rules practical and easy to understand.

A Safe Space to Grow: Making mistakes is a natural and essential part of mastering a new language. I offer a patient, relaxed, and judgement-free environment where you can practise speaking freely, ask questions, and build lasting confidence.

What We Can Work On Together
Whether you or your child are just starting out or looking to polish conversational skills, my lessons are tailored to your specific goals:

Foundational English & Young Learners: Fun, structured sessions focusing on phonics, vocabulary building, simple sentence structures, and interactive routines.

Conversational Fluency & Confidence: Engaging discussions on daily life, school topics, current affairs, and social nuances to help you speak English naturally.

Grammar, Pronunciation & Real-World Use: Practical grammar breakdowns, clear error correction, and targeted exercises to help you express your ideas accurately.

My Commitment to You
As your teacher, I am committed to being punctual, well-prepared, patient, and entirely focused on your success. Together, we will turn language goals into real, measurable progress.

I look forward to meeting you in class and guiding you towards English fluency! Feel free to reach out with any questions or book a trial lesson to get started.

About My Lessons & Teaching Approach
1. My Methodology & What Makes Me Unique
I believe that language learning should be an empowering, engaging, and confidence-building experience. What sets my teaching apart is my student-centred and highly adaptive approach: I firmly recognise that every learner is unique, with their own strengths, learning speed, and preferred style.

My lessons feature:

Scaffolded & Structured Learning: We break down complex vocabulary and grammar into manageable, step-by-step building blocks so you never feel overwhelmed.

Interactive & Visual Engagement: Using dynamic slides, visual timelines, total physical response (TPR), and real-world scenarios to keep lessons energetic and memorable.

Maximising Student Talk Time (STT): I keep teacher talk to a minimum so you get maximum time to practise speaking and building natural fluency.

Tailored Instruction: I continuously adapt my pacing, tone, and teaching tools to match what helps you learn best and set you up for true success.

2. Languages Offered
English: Primary language of instruction (All levels: Beginner to Advanced). I specialise in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).

3. What to Expect in a Typical Lesson
Every lesson is structured to give you maximum value while keeping the environment supportive, relaxed, and pressure-free:

Warm-Up Routine & Connection (3–5 mins): A friendly check-in or casual conversation activity to get comfortable speaking in English.

Core Target Concept (7–10 mins): Interactive introduction of new vocabulary, grammar structures, or practical language topics using visual aids and real-life context.

Guided Practice (10 mins): Structured games, dialogue exercises, or role-playing activities where we practise the target language together.

Free Production & Feedback (5 mins): Open speaking practice, constructive feedback, error correction, and a celebration of your progress!

4. Who My Lessons Are Aimed At
My lessons are designed for learners of all backgrounds who want to speak English with confidence:

Young Learners & Beginners: Fun, interactive, and structured lessons that make foundational English exciting and easy to grasp.

Intermediate & Advanced Students: Focus on conversational fluency, vocabulary expansion, natural pronunciation, and real-world application (school, daily life, and social nuances).

Students Seeking Confidence: If you feel nervous or hesitant about making mistakes, my room is a judgement-free zone tailored to help you feel safe, comfortable, and motivated!
