About Jéssica

Hi guys!
I am Jéssica Menezes, graduated in Theater, Bachelor and Degree, from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi. My history with Theater began at school, the place when I have the first contact with this form of Art. And When I was still developing me as a human being, I understood how important this form of expression has in a person's life.

I have worked with the Theater, Companies and Visual Audio Area, for more than 15 years. I have already held the role of Actress, Screenwriter, Costume Designer, Assistant Director, Production, etc.
I also consider my roots and experiences in Brazil as an Artist to be very important, I am from the Northeast, born in Fortaleza-CE, but I lived for more than 10 years in São Paulo-SP, then another year in the center of Brazil, Chapada dos Veadeiros, then in the South,Itajaí-SC, where I am currently. I had the opportunity to have contact with many and different cultures, people from different places and plasticities that added me a lot. I love being an artist, living in this environment and I love to exchange experiences and knowledge about it too!

That's why and what I'm here for!

About the lesson

- And what can I help you with?

Unlike what many people imagine Theater is not just about a show with a beginning, middle and end, it is not just about studying characters and wanting to pursue a career as an Actress or Actor. Theater in Greece was a way of visualizing our social being and discussing it (about ourselves) at a distance, that is, Theater is also a tool for self-knowledge, self-expression, and philosophy of life. Basis that each and every human being must and deserves to have contact.

1.If you've never had contact with Theater:
first: I'm sure you are with the right person!
I can give you drama classes with a focus on personal development,
I can help you express yourself better, bodily and emotionally,
I can help you to be uninhibited, to let go more, to be more and more yourself and authentic,
I can stimulate your creativity more so that you have more problem solving skills (from day to day, from work, from school, in short. Creativity is not only about the production of things),
I can help you help to exercise the body,
I can help you in your self-knowledge,
I can teach you more about creation, Character Creation, Costume Creation, Scene Creation, etc,
and more !!

2. If you already have contact with the Theater:
I can give you theater lessons with a focus on personal development,
I can help you study your theater texts,
I can help you with studying and deepening the genesis of a character,
I can present you creative tools for you to develop a theatrical project,
I can present you classic and contemporary theater texts,
I can explain more about the History of Art and Theater Brazilian,
I can present you references from the theater of other countries,
among other things.

The theater's first step is trust. Trust me?
Come and try it !! :)
