About Avi

As a tutor I am inclusive and respectful. I can prepare detailed lesson plans and help with understanding homework depending on student needs. I have had some paid experience as a tutor for both elementary and post secondary level. I have completed second year math and have won awards in mathematics, sciences, and arts at the city, provincial, and national level.

I can help up to undergrad linear algebra.

I am looking for new students particularly as this school year wraps up!

About the lesson

A large part of my tutoring skills have been from helping my peers with their understanding.

My typical style of teaching consists of first looking at a student’s work or giving a couple of problems. I will then be able to see areas of struggle. I then go over crucial concepts for the work if needed and help them through the problem. From there, care is taken to see if the student can solve similar problems. If not, I will review this work and come up with new methods to help with whatever the issue is.
I truly care about helping people and always put my full effort into doing so.
I have always been able to give my peers and others help when they need it.

I have known Avi for my entire life, and, growing up, she has always excelled with math and assisted me in my own understanding of the subject. I would not have passed Pre-Calc 12 with the mark I did if not for her!

Avi has been my classmate for the past couple years and they have helped me through some of my toughest classes. They are a kind, understanding person who is eager to help you through anything.
Avi has not only kindly answered our questions as to how we should approach challenging questions in Physics class, but they have also helped my classmates and I understand concepts throughout the semester of our Calculus class.
I strongly recommend Avi to be your teacher as I know that Avi has helped me and many others throughout our high school years.
