About Hannah
Hi! I'm Hannah; I'm 25 and I'm a third-year English with Creative Writing student at the University of Aberdeen. Throughout much of my time in education, I have seen my friends and peers struggle with and worry about academic writing. It is often seen as a boring and restrictive place, useless for anything other than formal assessments. But, when truly engaged with, academic writing gives you a space to discover, explore, and display your own unique thoughts on the subject matter. If writing - whether creative or academic - seems daunting, don't worry, I'm here to help!

I'm a huge believer that everyone, regardless of skill level, will produce their worst work when they are struggling to engage. In our first lesson, I want to get to know you; your likes and dislikes, specifics struggles you're facing with the subject matter, and what you're end goal for our classes are. Once we know what your version of success looks like, we'll work towards it together!
Classes with me will predominantly focus on breaking things down into reading and writing core skills. We will focus on these building blocks, relating them to your personal interests while we practice these techniques, and then work to combine these blocks cohesively.
Lessons may involve small homework assignments that will be looked at and worked from in the following class.
These classes are appropriate for any age range from Scottish Higher and above.
