About Fiona
I graduated from Cambridge University with a First class degree in Biochemistry and have since completed an MSc in Synthetic biology and Biotechnology, and PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Edinburgh. I am a friendly tutor with experience in tutoring all STEM subjects, as well as preparing students for university admissions tests such as the ESAT and BMAT. I achieved 11 A* at GCSE and 4 A* at A-level (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths)

I really enjoy teaching students of any level, especially those who are inquisitive about the subject. My lessons are adaptable and always tailored to ensure that the sessions suit you personally, and are suitable for your current workload. I research and prepare thoroughly to ensure that I teach optimally to the syllabus that you follow, using my broad background knowledge of the subject to inject some fun along the way!
I will not expect any preparation for lessons, but can also provide you with additional web-based resources or exam questions if desired. I aim to include a wide range of visual resources and make my sessions interactive to give you lots of chance to practise and consolidate material. I am happy to provide written feedback, especially to those for whom English is not their first language.
I also can offer tutoring beyond the syllabus in preparation for science olympiads/challenges, admissions tests (e.g., NSAA, BMAT, UCAT) and interview preparation.
