About Alice

Hi there. My name's Alice and I'm from Perth, Western Australia. I have been teaching English for over 10 years. I have worked in Nepal, Indonesia, Korea and Ukraine. I hold a Trinity Dip. TESOL, as well as initial ESL certificates (CELTA/CELTA YL). I specialise in teaching General English to adults and Young Learners, though can also teach exam preparation for the IELTS exam. I previously worked as an IELTS writing and speaking examiner.

About the lesson

I adapt my lessons according to what you need.
- Reading and listening skills-based lessons
- Phonology: focusing on phonemes (sounds), connected speech, intonation, English of a Linga Franca, understanding accents, listening with a focus on phonology.
- Speaking topic based lessons
- Task based learning (based on real life situations with grammar/vocabulary upgrading and correction)
- Grammar Doctor (focus on one particular grammar point)
- Vocabulary Doctors (lexical sets, idioms, phrasal verbs)
