My research, as a part of my master's programme at Oxford, deals with the history and politics of Hindi and Urdu as languages. Being a native speaker, I have adequate command on modern and colloquial Hindi as well as my linguistic background provides me with tools to teach Hindi as a proper language. Moreover, Hindi is not all about speaking in India as a traveller, instead, learning Hindi for English speakers is the first step to unlock a whole new class of literature, classic and modern poetry, cinema as well as learning other connected languages, namely, Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian and other regional languages in India. As a tutor, I focus on all aspects of language learning and consider my student's interest as the approach for teaching. I understand that not everyone is interested in learning dry grammatical terms and being able to apply them. Or otherwise, there are people who are interested in learning grammar and syntax more than the linguistic application. In either ways, I adopt flexible methodologies for teaching and make it easier also depending on the background of my student.
