About Anastasia
Being incredibly passionate about English from a young age, I went on to study English at University College London with a view to becoming an English teacher. During my time as a teacher, I was promoted to Key Stage 3 Coordinator for English, and also went on to teach A-Level- both of which I absolutely loved!
After teaching for 4 years, I decided to leave and apply my skills elsewhere as a Business Consultant (which my background in English made very easy, as it gave me high quality written and verbal communication as well as analytical skills!)... but I am so passionate about the value of English and bringing it to life for students, that I have decided to revisit my love of teaching through tutoring online.

I use a highly interactive approach to engage and guide students in honing their analytical skills and being able to identify and articulate their ideas about texts.
We will use our 45-60 minute sessions to practise approaching a text with confidence, using a range of tools to break down the key ideas and really take a look beneath the surface at how the writer has created impact for us as the readers. After exploring this together, we will use this as a foundation for creating high-level written responses.
My approach not only enables my students to achieve high grades, but also equips them with the literacy, critical thinking and communication skills they need to be successful at high-level universities and well into their chosen careers.
I have a PGDE in Secondary English alongside 4 years' experience teaching in school settings and 2 years' in an online tutoring format.
