About Serena

I have been tutoring for five years to students attending elementary through high school. I have taught over thirty students in both one-to-one and group scenarios in science, math, and programming.

I can teach algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, linear algebra, vector calculus, and statistics, and I can help students with AP Computer Science, Java, C, or C++. I can also tutor for the ACT and SAT math sections. I have received A's and 5's for the classes and AP tests, and also achieved perfect scores on both the ACT and SAT math sections.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Serena and I am an undergraduate student at UCSD completing my Mathematics and Computer Science BS. I am originally from the Bay Area and I graduated from high school with over a 4.0 GPA and 13 AP classes.

I like to teach based on the material and/or textbooks that the student provides. I vary my teaching method according to the student and the subject to provide the best and most efficient learning experience. I like to keep a good relationship with the student and my goal is to make the lesson more fun and interesting so that the student feels the same way about learning.

Please contact me if you are interested or if you have any more questions!

She worked beside me at another tutoring job and she did a very good job making sure that her students were well prepared for school. She also tried her best to make sure her students were going above and beyond the school's expectations.
