About Maxim
I’ve been drawing and painting for most of my life, with a focus on traditional and representational art. I’m especially interested in figure drawing, portraiture, and understanding how light, form, and anatomy work together. I take the same practical, fundamentals-based approach to my own work that I bring to teaching.

I want you to understand what you’re doing rather than just follow instructions, so you can improve faster and eventually work through problems on your own.
