About Marissa

I have experience in tutoring everything from Algebra 1 to Calculus AB, and have spent years learning how to identify what each student needs to succeed! By booking with me, you are booking a learning experience that will not only help you improve your grades, but learn what works for you when learning on your own.

About the lesson

My lesson planning is flexible to your needs. Every student is different, both in prior knowledge and learning style. Booking with me not only ensures a better understanding of topics you may struggle with, as I also aim to help you learn the the best strategies for your own personal learning experiences outside of our time together.

Marissa and I met my sophomore year of high school. I was struggling tremendously in geometry and ended up failing my first semester. Once second semester started I realized I needed extra help and met Marissa. She was extremely constructive and was able to explain the material to me in a way where I could understand. Additionally she is super kind and funny, making tutoring feel more comfortable and less intimidating. I ended my second semester with a B+ and was able to pass the class for the year!
