About Kate
Hey! My name is Kate, and I have a particular interest in Biology.
I am friendly, organised, and love helping pupils improve their knowledge of Biology - whether it's to pass an exam or get your grade up.
I am patient when it comes to explaining topics that are tricky to get your head round, so whatever query or concern you have - whether it's about understanding why the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, or how hormones work in the body - I'll always be here to help!

I have previously tutored maths to pupils aged 7-12, and have some experience helping students with national 5 Biology.
I offer tutoring sessions for Biology at national 5, higher and advanced higher level or below. Each session will be 1 hour long, or shorter if there are time constraints!
I have gained A grades at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Biology, and the course I am studying now includes a large amount of Biology.
I like to make sure all of the basics of a subject are understood before moving onto anything else. Understanding the reason behind the answer to a question, and not just memorising facts off a page, has been hugely helpful for me!
Flashcards have been my go-to throughout high school and now university, but I understand that everyone has different learning styles and will focus on figuring out what is right for the person themselves.
