About Maria

I love languages and currently know 6! The goal is to be a polyglot. I love music and dance and these are often my mediums to engage with other cultures. This has influenced my line of work and is at the core of my work with young people. Sharing my love and passion with them for people and diverse worlds is incredibly important to me.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on making Spanish practical, engaging and confidence-building. I place particular emphasis on speaking and listening, using everyday topics and real-life situations to help students develop Spanish they can actually use.
For students preparing for exams, I adapt lessons around the GCSE specification and mark schemes, focusing on exam technique alongside vocabulary and grammar.
I achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-Level Spanish, and I now study Spanish at the University of Oxford. I also have several years of experience teaching, tutoring and mentoring young people, including leading a Spanish club and working with Spanish-speaking families.
Lessons are available for students from Year 7 to Year 13, tailored to each student’s level, goals and confidence.
