*My Approach to Tutoring
With 8 years of tutoring experience and my degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Manchester, I specialise in helping students of all ages and abilities achieve their academic goals. My students consistently report grade improvements of 1-2 levels, thanks to my patient, practice-based approach.
*Teaching Methodology
I believe in active learning and interactive lessons tailored to each student's needs. My approach focuses on:
- Exam preparation techniques that build confidence and exam technique
- Practice-based learning with plenty of worked examples and problem-solving
- Interactive sessions that encourage questions and active participation
- Patient guidance that adapts to your learning pace and style
Whether you're struggling with basics or aiming for top grades, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, ensuring deep understanding rather than just memorisation.
*Lesson Structure
Typical lessons last 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted to suit your needs. Each session includes concept review, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and homework to reinforce learning between sessions.
*Who I Teach
My lessons are suitable for:
- Primary school students building foundations
- GCSE students preparing for exams
- A-Level students tackling advanced topics
- Adult learners returning to education or needing professional development
I teach all ability levels, from those needing extra support to high-achievers pushing for top grades.
