My lessons are tailored to the needs of each student, whether you are a beginner or advanced learner of Mandarin or Cantonese. I hold a Putonghua Level 2B certificate and am currently studying a Master of Education at the University of Melbourne. With prior experience as an IELTS tutor, I focus on practical communication skills, cultural understanding, and step-by-step language development. Lessons are usually 60 minutes long and combine conversation, listening, reading, and writing exercises. My classes are suitable for school students, university learners, professionals, and anyone interested in improving their Chinese language ability in a supportive and interactive environment.

I’ve known Leonard for a while and he’s always been someone you can count on. He’s friendly, approachable, and has a real talent for explaining things in a simple way. Students feel comfortable around him, which makes learning much less stressful. I think his mix of patience and enthusiasm makes him a great teacher, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
Leonard is one of the most patient and reliable people I know. As a teacher, he explains things clearly and always finds ways to make lessons enjoyable. I’ve seen how much effort he puts into helping his students improve, and he truly cares about their progress. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a kind and trustworthy tutor.
