About Denise
I am currently a master's student at Melbourne University. Last year I graduated from my BSc Economics (Honors) in 1st place and I have a real passion for Economics and tutoring. It brings me such joy to see when students I have helped, succeed. I have tutored a variety of individuals to know that everyone learns differently and my approach is centered around this idea.

I have provided tutoring lessons for 5 years. I am willing and able to teach all levels; high school, undergraduate, graduate in all subjects relating to Economics- VCE Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Applied subjects (Behavioral Economics, Development Economics, Experimental Economics, Education Economics, Public Policy and many more). Firstly, based on the individual's goals/needs and time constraints I construct a detailed plan and schedule. My teaching methods vary based on the purpose of the lessons. They can be motivation building; like a chat about topics to pique interest in a less stressful manner, they can be assignment or exam oriented, they can be general lessons that follow the flow of the subject at school or a combination. All lessons and teaching techniques are personalized for every student. Everyone learns differently and by initially trying a combination of learning methods I will be able to find what is right for you fairly quickly and then we can progress in that manner. Also, sometimes, students don't even need constant tutoring; just the right plan, resources, and occasional help with difficult questions, which is also something I can provide assistance for.

Perfect! Denise has been great so far, she's friendly, approachable, and teaches at a pace that is easy for me to understand—i was able to understand concepts that i had been struggling to understand in lectures. Denise had also been very understanding when something came up and i had to reschedule my session with her.

If it wasn't for Denise I wouldn't have gotten 44 in Further Maths. I can not thank her for enough because she really helped me build my confidence and taught me to trust myself more. I also found her resources particularly useful as they prepared me for all sorts of questions
Denise was extremely patient with me and always adapted the lesson when she noticed I had gaps in my foundation. I TRULY feel confident in Maths now and not even just Further Maths(what I received tutoring for) but Maths in general. I now know how I can approach a question I have never seen before and I am no longer making simple mistakes or getting stuck/frustrated on a question!!! So thankful!
Denise was an extremely attentive tutor. I was taking intermediate microeconomics and was so lost because i hadn't learnt principles of microeconomics well enough. She was really patient with me and at the same time concise, we were able to go fast enough to cover my missing knowledge and catch up with the current subject AND i even got a 92 on the final!
Before Denise tutored me i was on track to failing almost all my third semester subjects at uni, but after just a few lessons I began to actually enjoy my economics classes and learning i went from an average WAM of 42 to 67 in one year, which for me was amazing as my first year wasn't so great. She has helped me so much i really can't thank her enough.
