About Mokeeshan
Hello! I’m Mokeeshan, a PhD researcher in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne with a strong passion for teaching Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Programming. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honors at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and have experience tutoring high school students as well as teaching undergraduate engineering students as a Visiting Instructor.
My teaching approach focuses on making difficult concepts easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, and guided problem-solving. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons based on the student’s learning style, pace, and academic goals.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. Whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for exams, strengthening fundamentals, or learning programming skills, I am committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

I am a PhD researcher in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne with previous experience tutoring high school students and teaching undergraduate engineering students in Sri Lanka as a Visiting Instructor. My lessons focus on simplifying difficult concepts through step-by-step explanations, problem-solving techniques, and interactive learning tailored to each student’s level and learning style.
Lessons are typically 1–2 hours depending on the student’s needs. I provide tutoring for Year 7–12 Mathematics and Physics, VCE students, university engineering subjects, and Python programming. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and help students achieve strong academic performance in a supportive learning environment.
