About Mia
Hi! I'm Mia, 24, originally from Austria. When I'm not tutoring, I'm either reading my favorite novels, cooking Austrian food, or hanging out with my friends. My career aspiration is to become a solicitor, so I also spend a lot of time working towards this goal.
I tutor because it brings me joy to see my students succeed and pass on my knowledge to others. It also gives me a sense of purpose and lets me live out my nerdy side! My teaching is very holistic and draws from a lot of techniques and approaches I have learned through my studies at Oxford and beyond. I know that everyone requires a different teaching style, so I make an effort to get to know you to maximise your achievements!
I also have a disability (ADHD) and feel passionate about helping others develop strategies to succeed academically, and thrive off the unique strengths that neurodiversity can bring to the table. If you've been struggling and feel that you cannot reach your full potential, let's work on achieving your goals together!

My lessons can be centered around your needs and goals!
I have over 200 hours of teaching and tutoring experience in German, French and Italian. I help students achieve their academic goals (Oxbridge admissions, GCSEs, and A-levels).
I also teach those who want to keep on top of their language skills or pick up a new language. I am an Austrian national and native German speaker and teach German to all ages and aptitudes.
I also have particular expertise in teaching French literature for both university admissions and recreational purposes. Authors I have previously taught include Proust, Hugo, Zola, Flaubert, and Stendhal. I can provide you with masterclasses on specific topics to boost your university applications and practise critical analysis skills.

Mia makes classes really fun and engaging and likes using real world examples within her classes. The classes are fun and I learn new things each time.
Mia is really friendly and takes her time to fully explain the German grammar to make sure you understand it and get the best out of the lessons. She offers a flexible approach to learning which is really useful as I can tailor the lessons to the subject areas I want to concentrate on to further improve my German speaking and writing skills. I would highly recommend Mia as a German tutor.
Mia is a fantastic tutor. She provides excellent explanations of grammar points, and chooses texts to study that stretch and challenge!
Mia has been tutoring for nearly over a year now, and she's done an excellent job. She's very enthusiastic and creative in her lesson-planning, making each class different and interesting. Great at explaining complicated material in class!
Mia is a great tutor; she puts time into planning lessons, produces great resources, and is clearly passionate about her subjects. I would highly recommend her!
