About Chloe
I'm a University of Pennsylvania graduate with a background in creative, academic, and professional writing. I'm also an avid essay writer myself — I've taken writing classes at Sackett Street, Writers Studio, Gotham Writers Workshop, and Penn, and that ongoing practice keeps me sharp on craft and gives me real empathy for the process students go through. Before tutoring, I worked in people operations, as a Chief of Staff for an early-stage startup, and as a strategy consultant, so I'm used to communicating clearly and adapting to different working styles — skills that carry over directly into how I teach. I'm trilingual in English, French, and Spanish, and I've lived in New York, London, Paris, and across Latin America, which has shaped how I think about language and writing more broadly. I've previously tutored English, writing, French, and math to middle and high school students, as well as adults.

My lessons are structured but not rigid — I build a clear plan for each student while staying flexible enough to adapt when something isn't clicking. Whether we're working on reading comprehension, grammar fundamentals, or college essay prep, I bring creativity into how I explain concepts, meeting each student where they are and adjusting my approach to fit how they learn best. That creativity extends to brainstorming: I spend time helping students figure out what they're passionate about writing about, because the strongest essays come from genuine interest. My goal is always to make the work feel manageable and even enjoyable — sessions are warm and encouraging. As a University of Pennsylvania graduate with a strong background in creative, academic, and professional writing, I bring both academic rigor and care to every session.
