About Yanira
I am a student at Emory University. I volunteered with children all throughout high school and during the school year I am employed as a tutor in Atlanta public schools. English has always been my best subject and reading my favorite pastime! I love working with K-12 students to reach their academic goals. I have experience with English learners and am fluent in both Spanish and English.

When we first meet, we will see what topics we need to focus on and establish goals for our tutoring sessions. I strive to make learning enjoyable for my students, whether that be through games (with children) or connecting topics to current events or pop culture with older students. I like to work in a way that teaches topics in a focused and useful way.
