About Luis
I'm Luis Mauricio Chibata, currently pursuing dual bachelor's degrees in Software Engineering and Medical Sciences at The University of Sydney. What sets me apart as a tutor is my combination of academic excellence and real-world development experience—I've built production-ready educational software that students actively use for learning programming.
My expertise spans the complete NSW HSC Software Engineering curriculum under the new 2022 NESA syllabus. I have comprehensive knowledge of all learning outcomes from Year 11 Programming Fundamentals through Year 12's advanced topics including Secure Software Architecture and Software Automation. This specialized knowledge, combined with my hands-on development experience, allows me to prepare students not just for exams, but for practical programming skills they'll use in university and professional careers.
As a developer who leverages AI tools effectively, I teach students modern programming approaches that accelerate both learning and development. My students gain confidence through building actual working programs they can demonstrate and understand completely.

Pre-Session Preparation: Before each scheduled session, I create customized content tailored to your specific learning needs. This includes diagnostic conversations to identify knowledge gaps and prepare targeted materials, ensuring every minute of our time together is productive.
Session Structure:
Review (15 minutes): Address previous concepts and assess retention
Core Learning (30-45 minutes): Hands-on practice with new concepts using pre-prepared, student-specific materials
Progress Assessment (10-15 minutes): Evaluate understanding and plan next session objectives
For HSC Software Engineering: All content aligns with NESA 2022 syllabus requirements (SE-11-01 through SE-12-09). Students complete curriculum-mapped projects in Python programming, object-oriented design, and secure coding practices, building a portfolio that demonstrates competency for the computer-based HSC examination.
Performance Tracking: My preparation method creates clear, measurable metrics for each session. I track specific skill areas, concept mastery, and problem-solving abilities, allowing me to identify where students need additional support versus areas of high confidence. This data-driven approach ensures targeted improvement over time.
Practical Outcomes: Students complete working programs each session, receive immediate feedback on code functionality, and maintain a documented record of skill progression. Each lesson builds systematically toward defined academic goals with measurable benchmarks.
Sessions run minimum 1 hour for effective skill development. Available for English, Mathematics, Biology, and Coding across all levels—from complete beginners to advanced HSC preparation. All age groups welcome, with specialized methods for engaging younger learners through interactive programming demonstrations.

Perfect! Luis is highly intuitive and adaptable in catering to exactly what you need based on your requirements to learn a particular text or module which for my son was Software Engineering. Luis is one of a kind! He is warm and comes with EMPATHY calmly relating to your circumstances and then adjusting a learning program just for you. He truly is a gift to this platform where he has a skill set that allows him to adapt his learning model to what you are needing without all the fluff!
