Alongside my studies, I am also an experienced swim teacher, where I have developed excellent communication, patience, and motivational skills. Teaching swimming has strengthened my ability to encourage learners, build confidence, and adapt my approach to suit different ages and abilities. The skills I bring directly into my academic tutoring.

My tutoring style is student-focused, supportive, and confidence-boosting, with each lesson tailored to the learner’s age, level and needs. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice and active questioning to break down topics and help students become independent learners. Lessons are structured yet relaxed, creating a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with time for explanation, practice and personalised feedback. As a university teaching student, I use up-to-date teaching strategies from my degree to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
I tutor English from primary level through to GCSE, ideal for students needing extra support, exam preparation, or confidence-building.
