About Raquel
Hi, I’m Raquel, a 19-year-old sophomore at the UofU! - 5 years of childcare experience & 2 years as an educator - Last summer, I had the amazing opportunity to run a STEM program in Marin County, CA, for children ages 3.5 to 13, which fueled my passion for hands-on learning. I love working with learners and helping them discover new concepts through fun and interactive activities. Outside of education, I enjoy spending time in nature, especially taking drives through the canyons and making snowmen at the mountains. I’m organized, detail-oriented, and love to create engaging learning environments that adapt to the needs of each child.

I use visuals, detailed explanations, and color-coded notes to make learning engaging. My lessons adapt to your needs, focusing on clarity and thoroughness, with a patient and organized approach to ensure concepts are fully understood. We will start the lesson with an overview, then move onto each concept, circle back to challenging concepts, then close with an overview and key takeaways (with guided notes throughout the lesson). Q&A is key! Let's talk the lessons out

Raquel was an awesome English tutor. She really helped me with essays and explained everything so well. Her patience and clear explanations made everything so much easier to understand. Plus, she always made sure I got it and was super supportive.
