About Magda
Hey there! I'm originally from San Juan de Pasto, a cozy little city in Colombia bursting with history. Seven years ago, I made the move here and had to dive headfirst into learning a whole new language. It definitely wasn't a walk in the park, but with heaps of motivation and a can-do attitude, I managed to crack it. And guess what? You can too!

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I employ a communicative and immersive approach to teaching Spanish, focusing on practical language skills that students can immediately apply in real-life situations. Utilizing a variety of resources such as textbooks, multimedia materials, games, and authentic cultural content, I ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience. My method emphasizes active participation, encouraging students to speak, listen, read, and write in Spanish from the very beginning.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning. Then, I introduce new vocabulary and grammar concepts through interactive activities and discussions. Role-plays, storytelling, and group exercises are incorporated to facilitate comprehension and fluency. We also delve into cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world to deepen understanding and appreciation. Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback and personalized guidance to address individual learning needs.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
As a native Spanish speaker with a deep understanding of language acquisition principles, I bring authenticity and cultural insights to my teaching. My background in language education and extensive tutoring experience enable me to tailor lessons to suit each student's learning style and goals effectively. I am committed to fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks and make progress at their own pace.
Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons cater to learners of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced speakers seeking to refine their skills. Whether you are a student aiming to fulfill language requirements, a professional seeking to enhance your career prospects, or simply an enthusiast eager to explore the richness of the Spanish language and culture, my lessons are designed to meet your specific needs and aspirations.
