About Ethan

Hello! I’m Ethan, a 2024 graduate of Normanhurst Boys High School currently studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UNSW.

I am an experienced HSC tutor with 𝟯+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and more than 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 delivered. I help students strengthen their understanding, improve their exam performance and reach their full academic potential.

𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗠𝗘?

My final marks may appear impressive, but they do not show the full story of my improvement during my final two years of high school.

In Year 11, I failed Chemistry and Physics assessments and began to wonder whether I should drop the subjects entirely. At the beginning of Year 12, however, I identified my ineffective habits and introduced better study techniques. By the HSC, I had moved from the bottom 15 students to a final top-20 internal rank in both subjects.

Because of this experience, I personally understand how it feels to struggle academically and lose confidence. I want to share the knowledge and refined study techniques that helped me improve, showing students that it is never too late to turn their results around.

Through more than three years of tutoring, I have also learned that no two students learn in exactly the same way. I adapt my explanations, lesson structure and resources to each student’s individual needs.

My aim is to take students beyond simply understanding the content. I want them to develop the confidence and problem-solving ability to apply what they have learned to any question they encounter.
