About Anu
Good to Know
Hello, I’m Anu—a dedicated and compassionate tutor based in Vancouver with over 5 years of experience in education, mentoring, and student support. I hold a diploma in Gerontology from Langara College, which has given me a strong foundation in understanding how individuals learn and develop at different stages.
I have also worked at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, where I supported diverse learners, mentored students, and facilitated educational and wellness programs. This experience has strengthened my ability to work with children and youth from different backgrounds, including those who need extra academic or emotional support.
I am known for being patient, supportive, and highly attentive to each student’s individual needs. I believe that learning should feel safe and encouraging, not stressful. My sessions are designed to help students build confidence, stay motivated, and develop independent learning skills.
Each lesson is well-structured, engaging, and tailored to suit the student’s pace and learning style. I also maintain clear communication with parents, ensuring transparency, progress tracking, and consistent support.
My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them grow into confident, capable, and independent learners.

Breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps

Encouraging active participation and questioning
Incorporating wellness-based strategies (focus, routine, motivation)
For students with different learning needs, I adjust my pace and methods to ensure they feel supported and never overwhelmed.
