About CHELSI
Dance has been a major part of my life for 14 years, and I’ve grown as both a performer and teacher through liturgical, contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz dance.
Throughout my dance journey, I’ve had opportunities to perform in large church and community settings, as well as develop experience assisting with dance and tumbling instruction. These experiences have taught me not only how to perform, but also how to patiently guide others as they develop their own skills and confidence.
I take teaching seriously while still creating an encouraging and comfortable environment. Every dancer learns differently, so I focus on meeting students where they are instead of expecting everyone to progress at the same pace. I value proper technique, musicality, expression, discipline, and most importantly, confidence.
Whether you are stepping into a dance class for the first time or already have experience and want to strengthen your performance skills, I’ll work with you patiently and intentionally. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, knowledgeable, and excited about their growth as a dancer.
I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned throughout my dance journey and help the next dancer discover what they’re!

Hi, I’m Chelsi! I’m a versatile dancer with 14 years of experience in liturgical dance, along with experience in hip-hop, contemporary, and jazz. My teaching approach focuses on helping each dancer become more confident, expressive, comfortable, and intentional with their movement.
I believe dance is more than memorizing choreography. I teach students how to understand musicality, rhythm, movement quality, performance, facial expressions, and how to tell a story through their bodies. I break choreography down step-by-step and adjust my teaching style based on each student’s experience and learning pace.
A typical lesson begins with stretching and a warm-up, followed by technique, foundational movements, and short combinations. We then work on choreography and performance skills. Depending on the dancer’s goals, I can also focus on flexibility, stage presence, picking up choreography faster, freestyle, or becoming more confident while performing.
What sets me apart is my background in both performance and ministry. I’ve spent many years performing liturgical dance while also developing experience across different styles, which allows me to combine emotion, storytelling, technique, and energy in my teaching.
My lessons are open to beginners and developing dancers who want to learn hip-hop, liturgical, contemporary, or jazz. Whether you’re learning just for fun, preparing to perform, dancing in a church or ministry setting, or simply trying to build confidence, I want my lessons to be a positive space where you can grow and develop your own style.
