About Dorothy
I have a degree in Education, majoring in Swahili and History. I am currently pursuing a master's in Education. I have taught Swahili full time to high school students for over a decade. I have a very good success rate with students here on Superprof. I have taught students on this platform and I feel so proud seeing them actually write emails to me in Swahili or having conversations in Swahili. I love what I do, and I'm glad I get to do it. I get the work done.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have this ability to treat each of my students like the only students I have. I give maximum attention, I am effective, thorough and customize my lessons to suit each learners needs. I love what I do and I'm glad I do it.
My Swahili is the standard Swahili spoken in all Swahili spoken countries. So, I guarantee you, it doesn't matter where you want to speak it, it will still be effective and appropriate Swahili.
I have taught students from ages 74 all the way to 9 years being the youngest so far.
My students have described me as Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, patient, nice, attentive and experienced.

I met Dorothy when my Swahili was horrible. I had zero noun-verb agreement, no clue what noun classes were and she easily helped me through all that. I am fluent now. All our conversations are in Swahili and I am so proud of that milestone. She is a gem. Trust me.
Dorothy has been my Amazing Swahili teacher. She is great at her job. Her lessons are funny, impactful and broken into chunks that are easier to understand. She ended up being a friend. She went over and above for us; her students

I ensure your money's worth is achieved. I send notes after the class, I send homework after every lesson and we get to go through it, not necessarily during class. My channels of communication are always open to my students.
