About Michaela
I am a dedicated and passionate educator who believes every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing a genuine love for learning.
I specialize in working with K–8 students and understand that every child learns differently. I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs, strengths, and learning styles of my students. Whether your child needs help mastering foundational skills, improving academic performance, completing homework, preparing for assessments, or building confidence in the classroom, I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear explanations, interactive learning, and consistent encouragement. I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps, helping students gain a deeper understanding rather than simply memorizing information. I believe that learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable, and I strive to make each session engaging and productive.
Parents can expect professionalism, reliability, and open communication. I take pride in creating lessons that are organized, purposeful, and aligned with each student's academic goals. My commitment to student growth extends beyond improving grades—I aim to help students develop the confidence, problem-solving skills, and independent learning habits that will benefit them throughout their educational journey.
I look forward to partnering with students and families to support academic success and foster a lifelong love of learning.

As a veteran teacher with 10 years of experience, I use a patient, student-centered approach that meets learners where they are academically. I begin by assessing strengths and areas for growth, then create engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs and learning style. A typical session includes reviewing previous skills, direct instruction, guided practice, independent application, and progress monitoring. I emphasize building confidence, critical thinking, and strong study habits while making learning meaningful and enjoyable. My experience in the classroom allows me to provide effective strategies, individualized support, and clear communication with families. Lessons are designed for students in Kindergarten through Middle School and are available in all core subjects, including reading, math, science, social studies, homework support, and test preparation.
