About Dean
Hey everyone! I'm a 2024 graduate from Brisbane State High School now studying Veterinary Science at UQ. Having graduated recently, I'm confident that my past experiences in mentoring will improve your child's results! In 2024, I achieved an ATAR of 99.50 and scored over 90/100 in all my subjects (Specialist, Methods, General English, Physics, Chemistry & Economics). As a kid, I personally know the feeling of being stuck or unmotivated to learn. As such, I try to make my lessons simple, interesting and most importantly fun.

My approach to tutoring is to build students' level of understanding, identify key areas to improve their learning and to provide a framework so that they can build on their own.
Lessons typically run for one hour, though I’m happy to discuss longer or shorter sessions if you need them.
I have over two years of experience tutoring junior and senior students, built on a foundation of high school peer-to-peer tutoring groups. My lessons are perfect for all ages up to HSC level subjects.

Details
For one-on-one tutoring, my rates are as follows:
$65/hour for online sessions
$80/hour for in-person sessions
$100/assignment for detailed written feedback and commenting
I'm located around Calamvale, and may be able to provide in-person tutoring depending on your location (mainly at Sunnybank Hills Library). Please contact me for more details and availability :))
To clarify, the 30 minute free lesson is an online consultation designed to look at some strengths and weaknesses, find a study plan, and maybe look at the content to find the best approach for learning.
