About Michael
Hi, I'm Michael, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 10 years of professional experience in auditing, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and risk management. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of organizations and industries, helping clients navigate complex accounting and financial challenges. I also have experience tutoring students from multiple colleges and universities across Ontario and British Columbia, as well as professionals pursuing the CPA designation. I understand the challenges students face in accounting courses, and I adapt my approach to your learning style — whether you need step-by-step guidance for assignments, exam prep, or just want to build confidence in your accounting skills.

I provide tutoring and academic support in university and college accounting courses, CPA Canada exam preparation (Core 1–4, electives, and Capstone cases), auditing, internal controls, risk management, payroll, GST/HST, Canadian taxation, and financial reporting (ASPE and IFRS fundamentals). My goal is to simplify complex concepts using practical, real-world examples and to tailor each session to the student's individual learning style and objectives. Whether you need help preparing for an exam, understanding course material, completing assignments, or building confidence in accounting topics, I am here to help.
Rate: $35/hour
Availability: Weekday evenings and Saturdays
Format: In-person (Victoria or Langford, BC) or online across Canada
