About Brook
Rosin dust settles on my bow after 13 years of performing across major concert halls. I balance my time between playing with the New York Philharmonic and guiding students within my Chicago home studio. My experience encompasses everyone from 4-year-old beginners to high schoolers prepping for intense college conservatory auditions. Coaching these musicians requires constant focus on the nuance of sound production.

Modern music demands a rigorous technical foundation. Quartertones and extended techniques remain central to my instructional focus alongside classical repertoire.
Students engage in deliberate ear training and precise tuning exercises. Mastering complex spiccato and staccato bowing patterns requires consistent practice.
I provide focused grade exam preparation for both ABRSM and Trinity boards. My 10.0 scale of technical rigor ensures high standards for all performers. I look forward to working with you.
