I start by looking through some of your games and having a chat about what are you looking to get from the lessons and your long/short-term goals.
Some of my teaching methods include:
- analysing your games and explaining strategic ideas that an engine won't teach you
- asking you about your thought process and trying to correct mistakes in your thinking or
evaluation of positions
- explaining basic opening ideas and helping you choose the most suitable openings for
yourself
- teaching you how to approach solving puzzles effectively
- self-study material recommendations
