About Marie
Hi, I’m Margaret! I’m a singer-songwriter with 15 years of singing and performance experience. I studied Vocal Arts at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, and my original song has been broadcast on CBC Radio.
I won the Canada Center Stage Singing Competition in 2022 and received the Yamaha Award in 2024 as a featured artist of the Honey Jam Artist Development Program. I’ve also performed at TD Music Hall for the Honey Jam Concert, the Harry Jerome Awards and the U.S. Consulate General.
My lessons are welcoming, practical, and shaped around your goals. Whether you’re preparing to perform or learning to write original music, we’ll build your skills step by step.
I can help with vocal expression, song interpretation, stage presence, audition preparation, lyrics, melody, and performing arts. I’ll offer thoughtful feedback and help you develop a sound and performance style that feel like your own.

Hi, I’m Margaret! I teach one-on-one songwriting lessons for beginners and emerging artists who want to learn how to turn ideas into original songs.
In each lesson, I’ll guide you through skills such as writing lyrics, creating melodies, structuring verses and choruses, and telling a story through music. We’ll practice those skills using your own ideas, so you leave with both a better understanding of the writing process and progress on a song that’s yours.
I’m a singer-songwriter with 15 years of singing and performance experience. I studied Vocal Arts at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and won the Canada Center Stage singing competition. My teaching style is encouraging, collaborative, and tailored to your goals.
