About Hyerin
Hello! I’m Julia, a passionate Korean tutor with a background in Applied Chemical and Biological Engineering. Having graduated from university and gained over 7 years of customer service experience, including working at Starbucks, I’ve developed strong communication skills and a warm, approachable teaching style. I have also volunteered teaching languages in multicultural settings and completed an internship in Paraguay, which helped me understand diverse learners and tailor my teaching to each student’s unique needs. I’m fluent in English and can communicate in basic Chinese, which allows me to connect with students from various backgrounds. I understand how challenging learning a new language can be, so I create a supportive and encouraging environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process. Whether you want to learn Korean for travel, daily conversation, enjoying K-dramas and K-pop, or for your children’s education, I’m here to help you learn at your own pace in a fun and comfortable way. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your Korean learning journey!

Are you looking for a kind, patient Korean tutor who truly understands language learning from a global perspective?
I’m a native Korean speaker with a background in science and 7+ years of experience in customer service. I’ve worked in multicultural environments, volunteered to teach language and culture to people from various countries, and genuinely enjoy helping others communicate with confidence.
I can speak English fluently and also communicate in basic Chinese (我会说一点中文), so I understand how it feels to learn a new language — and how important a safe and encouraging space is.
Whether you're learning Korean for travel, conversation, or fun, I’ll tailor the class to your pace and interests. I specialize in teaching beginners, children, and anyone who wants a supportive and positive learning experience.
Let’s learn together in a way that’s enjoyable, practical, and focused on your goals. I can’t wait to meet you!

Perfect! Hyerin is the best Korean teacher I've met so far. She is kind and patient, serious but joyful. I learnt so fast from the beginning because she used a lot of approaches to guide me to my goal. She's a great listener, understanding my needs and ideas, and she can answer all my questions! I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Korean quickly.
- An incredibly enthusiastic student with a real talent for languages. Speaks three languages and learns quickly with great focus and curiosity.Hyerin's response :
