Susan is an incredibly talented artist. I was fortunate to have her as a teacher, mentor, and guide who helped open up my authentic voice and give me a strong foundation. Susan approaches music education from a true place of creativity and her program is all encompassing. In a short time I was able to advance on my dream of singing, songwriting, playing ukulele and fulfilling my dream of being a musician, as an adult. There is technique, depth and magic in our sessions, and I developed a more authentic voice that serves me as an artist overall. Susan is a dedicated and competent teacher who gets the student right down to the core of their need in order to express themselves musically, and then builds a firm foundation for the student to grow in both confidence and competence. She has rare, intuitive skill, and though a student might feel at times that certain integral lessons are "not necessary", if you trust her method completely, you discover later on how critical they actually are! Personally, Ms. Gabriel took my vocal ability to a level that no other vocal coach before her was able to do. Her winsome warmth? Her keen knowledge of both music theory and the art of performance? All three?
