About Thomas
I am a high school senior headed to Washington University in St. Louis in the fall. I have tutored 6 students from 8th-grade algebra 1 to third-semester Differential Equations. I have won 12 individual and team-based math competitions to date, as well as coaching a student to a score of 9 on the AIME.

My goal is that students form an understanding of the material rather than memorize it. A typical lesson would touch on the implications of the material, practice problems to make sure all bases are covered, as well as tying in extensions of problems one might find in a lower math course. I teach students from Algebra 1 to Differential Equations and/or help them prepare for high school math competitions.

I was always the kind of person that tackled things on my own and most tutors that I had made me feel incompetent and dumb but Thomas tutored me in a way that made me feel like I was talking with a friend. He is very knowledgeable and patient with all of his tutees. At one point, I felt left in the dust in my Calculus class but Thomas made sure I completely understood the material before moving on to something new. I recommend this tutor for these reasons and I will not be looking for another anytime soon.
