About Armaan
Hi! I'm a University of Waterloo grad with an Honors degree in Computational Mathematics. I've been tutoring for years and it's honestly how I learn best too.
I wasn't always the student who "just got it." I struggled with certain topics, and tutoring helped me push through. That's why I became a tutor — I know what it feels like to be stuck, and I know how to help you get unstuck. No judgment, no silly questions.
When I'm not tutoring, you'll find me cooking something new, playing chess, or out on the soccer field. I like staying active, learning random things, and yes, I genuinely enjoy math and coding.
I'm patient, reliable, and I actually care whether you understand the material. Let's learn together!

My Approach as a Tutor
I'm a University of Waterloo alum with an Honors degree in Computational Mathematics, and I've been tutoring throughout my life and it's genuinely how I learn best too. That shapes everything about how I teach.
My Teaching Style
I believe real learning happens through conversation, not lectures. I understand where you are, break big concepts into manageable steps, and focus on building understanding rather than memorization. I ask questions, encourage curiosity, and make sure you feel comfortable saying "I don't get it", because that's where progress starts.
A Typical Lesson
We begin by checking in on what feels unclear, then work through concepts together with real examples. Next, you explain it back to me in your own words and that's where it really clicks. We wrap up with a quick practice problem so you leave feeling confident, not overwhelmed.
What Sets Me Apart
I don't just teach subjects, I teach how to learn them. I share the same study habits, problem-solving strategies, and AI tools I actually use myself.
Who Lessons Are For
Middle school, high school, and university students studying math, stats, or computer science (Python, SQL, R). I also help students learn how to use AI effectively this including prompting and choosing the right tools for the job. Eventually, we build a personal AI agent together for you too!
