About Samantha
Samantha Ayers graduated from Woodbridge High School in 2023 as her class’ Salutatorian and is now entering her second year at Middlesex College, where she majors in Sustainability Science, with the goal of transferring into a 4-year Environmental Science program before pursuing a career in Environmental Policy Management. Outside of the lab, she enjoys enriching herself with all that her school community has to offer, striving to create a positive impact on those around her as her campus’ Ambassador to GivePulse, a national organization designed to promote community service and volunteerism in higher-education settings, and President of Middlesex College's Upsilon Gamma Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Samantha is also an active member of the Psi Beta Psychology Club and volunteers time with the Advocates for Students with Learning Differences group, where she hopes to bring meaningful connections and lifelong friendships to her disabled peers. Off campus, Samantha is deeply-involved with a variety of issues, including Mental Health Awareness, having served as a volunteer with the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide throughout high school and receiving the organization’s invaluable 2023 namesake scholarship award. Prior to graduating high school, Samantha was involved in a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities, including the National Honor Society and all subject honor societies (Music, History, English, Science and Mathematics), and served as the Captain of the co-ed Varsity Golf Team. In 2023, she was awarded the AP Capstone Diploma for her diligence in excelling in over a dozen AP Courses, as well as the highly-competitive Marisa Tufaro Memorial Community Service Award for her contributions to both her school and county’s communities. Most recently, Samantha had the opportunity to share her experiences working with a diverse array of backgrounds as a member of the Susan N. Wilson NEW Leadership Class of 2024, and cannot wait to see where this prestigious opportunity takes her!
