About Astral

I am a Weymouth-based sixth form student with an excellent academic record, having achieved grade 9s in all STEM subjects, including Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at GCSE. I am currently studying these subjects at A-level and working towards A* grades. Alongside strong subject knowledge, I bring a clear, structured, and professional approach to tutoring.

My teaching focuses on developing genuine understanding and confidence. I break down complex topics into clear, logical steps, ensuring students fully grasp key concepts before moving on. Lessons are carefully structured and tailored to each individual, with a balance of explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions to build both knowledge and technique.

I maintain a calm, supportive, and focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions while being encouraged to achieve their best. Reliability, punctuality, and clear communication are central to my approach, ensuring both students and parents feel confident in the quality of tuition provided.

I am committed to providing high-quality, professional tuition that supports students in reaching their full academic potential.

About the lesson

I have achieved 9s at GCSE in all STEM subjects, including Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and predicted for A*s in Maths and Physics, and A in Further Maths. I have approximately a year prior experience providing tutoring privately.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE, KS3 and CE students, with a typical length of 60 minutes.

I focus on building strong understanding and confidence in every student. My teaching is structured but adaptable, ensuring each lesson is suited to the student’s pace and goals.

I believe in practising problem-solving and focusing on logical understanding. I use worked examples, guided practice, and regular questioning to check understanding. Lessons often include exam-style questions to develop technique and familiarity with mark schemes, helping students maximise their marks in assessments.
